The Kemono-Box Executive Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of participants.
Article 1 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
The Committee may ask for personal information such as email addresses, handle names, real names, and names to be printed on participation badges when participants register or make inquiries. Additionally, the Committee may collect transaction records and payment-related information, including personal information of participants, that has been provided to the payment processing service provider (Stripe, Inc.).
Article 2 (Credit Card Information)
Participants' credit card information is provided directly to Stripe, Inc. via TLS encrypted communication and is strictly managed by Stripe. The Committee does not retain any credit card information of participants.
Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which the Committee collects and uses personal information are as follows:
- For the operation and setup of Kemono Box
- To respond to inquiries from participants
- To send important notices and various communications to participants
- To allow participants to view, modify, and delete their registered information
- Purposes incidental to the above
Article 4 (Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Committee will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from participants, except in the following cases:
- When it is necessary for the protection of life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
- When it is especially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government body, or a person entrusted by such body, in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the person may impede the execution of such affairs
- When outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information to a subcontractor (such as a shipping agent) to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- Other cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations
Article 5 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to participants.
Unless otherwise specified by the Committee, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
