Background of Kemono-Box
About Past Kemono-Box Events
Kemono-Box is a community-driven event that was originally held in Aichi Prefecture — a central location between Kansai and Kanto — to create a space for people from both regions to connect. The first event was held on June 3, 2012, and a total of eight events took place at i-Plaza Ichinomiya through February 16, 2019. Activities were suspended following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
About the Current Kemono-Box
We began considering resuming the event around 2024 as the pandemic subsided, but we determined that the previous venue could not provide enough space for the scale of activities we envisioned, so we searched for a new location.
Since our events have always been held in Aichi Prefecture, we consulted with JMoF, who introduced us to Loisir Hotel Toyohashi, and we decided to hold the event there.
The flexibility of Loisir Hotel Toyohashi — where we can freely choose room sizes and use the time however we like — was also a key reason for our decision.
This time, we built Kemono-Box around five genres, but going forward, we want to incorporate feedback like "I'd like to try this but I'm not confident" and "I don't know how it works but I want to give it a shot," creating an event that inspires people to say "I want to run an event like this too."
At Kemono-Box — a place where you can freely and casually enjoy all sorts of things — let's dig deep into what you love and find your very own "treasure box!"
